Argus
Argus was a greek mythological giant with 100 eyes covering his body. With his eyes he served as a spy and bodyguard for gods such as Zeus and Hera.
Just as Argus protected and observed for Hera and Zeus, so too can he protect and see for you. Argus is a revolutionary protective LI-DAR integrated phone case for the seeing impared and blind.
Argus uses LI-DAR in the camera to 3D map video feed from the camera and convert that image into touch through the brass pins. The closer an object gets to you, the more the pins stick out indicating depth.
Features:
Stippled Grip - grippy and sweat resistant
Brass Pins- solid brass pins to preciesly show distance
drop resistance up to 8’

The new iPhone 12 has had a major camera overhaul; most noticibly the addition of a third lense and a LI-DAR (light detection and ranging) cell. LI-DAR allows for very exact measurements of distance by bouncing infrared light off of objects and measuring the amound of time it takes for them to return.
ARGUS uses LI-DAR to measure the distance to objects, and convert the objects to simple rectangles. These rectangles are then displayed on the braille pad. Each pin can displace up to 1/2” and the distance to an object is translated into to the distance the pins displace. If there is nothing in the way, then no pins are displaced. If something is very close and the user risks running into it, the pins extrude all the way.
The Items in front of the camera are converted into rectangles and displayed on the braille pad as shown on the right. In this example, red is the closest and therefore are extended the furthest. Blue Is furthest back and are the least extended. (Diagram Below)
